Why DUTCH

Dutch is the official language of the Netherlands and Suriname, an official language in Belgium, and is very closely related to Afrikaans. It is also spoken on a handful of beautiful Caribbean islands. Learning to speak the language will open the door to many business, study and cultural opportunities in the Low Countries and elsewhere. Large international businesses such as Shell, KLM and Philips are wholly or partly Dutch-owned.

Learning Dutch will be useful for students who wish to study at Dutch or Belgian universities such as Leiden, Utrecht, and Leuven. Or, you may have Dutch or Belgian relatives or friends or simply want to travel in the Low Countries and want to learn enough Dutch to get by.
